LIST SERVE
Please
join our Sacred Heart ACTS List Serve (e-mail network) and stay
informed of upcoming events, as well as network with your ACTS Sisters &
Brothers. This
is a method of communicating notices of events, prayer requests, etc. that are
relevant to our area ACTS communities. Once
you join this list serve group, you can send e-mails to everyone on the group
(currently over 90 members) by sending to one e-mail address (sacredheartacts@googlegroups.com
), and you will receive relevant messages sent by anyone in the group. Membership
in the group will be moderated, i.e. only those who have attended an ACTS
retreat will be able to participate. All messages (that you are encouraged to
send) will be briefly reviewed for relevance prior to release by a moderator. You
can choose to receive these message in a consolidated digest form, perhaps one
a day or less, at any time, or you can request to be dropped from the list
serve at any time.
Step
1 of the process is to go to www.google.com/accounts/newaccount
and
register with Google, if you are not currently registered. (If this link does
not work, try copying it and pasting it onto your server "go to"
line, or retype it there.) Check your email after this, because Google will
give you instructions to confirm your email address. In registering with
Google, you may or may not want to "Set Google as my default
homepage" most do not. You also may or may not want Google to text
message you with your verification code - if you choose a regular phone call a
recorded message will be received. It is suggested that you set up at least
your name in your Google profile, everything else is definitely optional for
this purpose.
Step 2 of the process is to E-mail rjbacak@sbcglobal.net
requesting
to be added to the list serve, and include the date you made your ACTS
Retreat. Please indicate if you made your retreat in another deanery. Brothers
and sisters from other area deaneries are more than welcome to join.
You will begin to receive ACTS information shortly thereafter.
